Computer Ports & Adapters

In this room you can connect your computer via HDMI. A usb-c to HDMI adapter is provided in the room. Older computers without USB-C and without HDMI built-in can check out an adapter from Academic Technology in LIB 80.

TURNING ON THE SYSTEM

STEP 1: Turn on the main power-switch.

STEP 2: On the projector control panel, press ON once, and wait 60 seconds.

CONNECTING A LAPTOP: VGA 

STEP 1: On the projector control panel, press COMP.

STEP 2: Connect VGA (15-pin) cable to laptop (respective laptops may require adapters).
Plug the attached audio-cord into laptop's headphone jack for sound. 

STEP 3: To get audio, turn on the amplifier. Make sure LEFT OUTPUT and RIGHT OUTPUT is at 12'o clock position.
Adjust volume via the COMPUTER AUDIO knob.

Mirroring your display

Mac: COMMAND  + F1 (COMMAND + dim brightness on macs with a touchbar)
Windows: WINDOWS SYMBOL + P, then select DUPLICATE

RECEIVING CABLECAST

STEP 1: On the projector control panel, press VIDEO. 

STEP 2: On the video switcher, press in the white square labeled CABLE TV.

STEP 3: Turn on the amplifier. Make sure LEFT OUTPUT and RIGHT OUTPUT is at 12'o clock position.
Adjust volume via the MAIN AUDIO knob.

STEP 4: Select the desired cable channel on the Pico cable tv tuner.  

STEP 5: Call x15103 to start the cablecast.

USING THE VCR/DVD PLAYER

STEP 1: On the projector control panel, press VIDEO. 

STEP 2: On the video switcher, press in the white square labeled VCR/DVD.

STEP 3: Turn on the amplifier. Make sure LEFT OUTPUT and RIGHT OUTPUT is at 12'o clock position.
Adjust volume via the MAIN AUDIO knob.

STEP 4: Turn on VCR/DVD combo player. Insert media and press play.

USING THE WIRELESS MIC

STEP 1: Open the bottom drawer; the wireless mics will be inside:

STEP 2: Removed a mic from the base. Wait for the LED light on top to flash RED.

STEP 3: Press the lone button on the mic body. The LED light will flash GREEN. The mic is now ON. 

STEP 4: Turn on the amplifier. Make sure LEFT OUTPUT and RIGHT OUTPUT is at 12'o clock position.
Adjust volume via the WIRELESS MIC knob.
