Computer Ports & Adapters
In this room you can connect your computer via HDMI. A usb-c to HDMI adapter is provided in the room. Older computers without USB-C and without HDMI built-in can check out an adapter from Academic Technology in LIB 80.

TURNING ON THE SYSTEM
Use the attached remote-control, point at the bottom of the TV, then press the power button.
CONNECTING A LAPTOP: HDMI
STEP 1: Connect HDMI cable to laptop (respective laptops may require adapters).
STEP 2: If your screen does not display after 5 seconds, you will need to select the correct source/input on the TV. On the remote-control, press SOURCE (or INPUT). The source options will appear. Use the arrow buttons to select the appropriate source (generally this is HDMI1, but it will vary from room to room).
STEP 3: For audio volume, use the remote-control's volume buttons to toggle up or down.
Mirroring your Display
If the TV is not mirroring what is on your laptop screen, you will need to change a setting on your laptop:MacOS: COMMAND + F1 (COMMAND + dim brightness on macs with a touchbar)
Windows: [WINDOWS SYMBOL] + [P], then select DUPLICATE
